Lilleleht, Laura-Liisa ; Stupková, Michaela (advisor) ; Oplt, Vojtěch (referee)
Author: Laura-Liisa Lilleleht Supervisor: Mgr. Michaela Stupková Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient After an Artificial Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to describe and understand the anatomy, biomechanics, and kinesiology of the knee joint. The theoretical part also consists of information about the ACL ligament reconstruction and recovery after the reconstruction. The second part of the thesis is written based on a physiotherapeutic methods used during the rehabilitation process including initial kinesiological examination, day to day therapy, and final kinesiological examination, and evaluation of the therapy process to understand the therapy effect on patient. Methods: All methods used were noninvasive. The information in the theoretical and practical part of the thesis are based on knowledge gained in Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in Charles University. Each physiotherapeutic method used was discussed with the supervisor at Medicentrum Praha to ensure patient's well-being. Results: Patient had 8 therapy sessions in total and patient was motivated anf hard-working during the whole therapy process. During the therapy all the short-term therapeutic goals were achieved, which included improved range of motion of the...

Title: Rehabilitation after Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction Nazev: Kazuistika fyzioterapeuticke pece o pacienta s plastikou predniho zkrizeneho Author: Ilias Tsaparegas Aim: In this thesis, a therapeutic approach of ACL Reconstruction due to tendon rapture will be described and a complete therapeutic record of a patient after ACL Reconstruction is demonstrated. Methods: The rehabilitation included 6 days of therapy. The main points of the state of the patient were light pain while walking, muscle weakness and incoordination, joint play restrictions and restriction of ROM of joints on the lower extremities. The first and last sessions with the patient included the Kinesiologic evaluation. Therapy and the methods which were used included joint play, strengthening exercises without and with the use of tools (like over-ball, Theraband, various balance boards, Posturomed platform, stationary bicycle, Stairmaster, soft pads), Isometric and Isotonic exercises, Post Isometric Relaxation (PIR), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Fascilitation (PNF) techniques and Sensorimotor training. Results: After 6 therapeutic units with the patient, she was able to walk with increased confidence and pain free at the knee joint. Mobilization of the restricted joint movements was successful and released the...
Casuistry of physiotherapy care of a patient after ACL reconstruction
Szabóová, Veronika ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Hamouzová, Dita (referee)
Title: Casuistry of physiotherapy care of a patient after ACL reconstruction Objectives: Summary of theoretical knowledge related to the issue of convalescence after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruciton using autograft from patellar ligament in terms of physiotherapy and processing of a physiotherapy care casuistry of a patient with complete anterior cruciate ligament tear treated by this surgical technique, proposing a therapy based on the initial examination, monitoring the process of the therapy and evaluating its results. Summary: The thesis is divided in two parts, the theoretical part and the special part. Theoretical part contains review of a literature discussing anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of a knee joint. Furthermore, it describes importance of ligamentous apparatus focused on the anterior cruciate ligament and consequence of its dysfunction for stability of a knee joint. Conclusion of this part is devoted to damages of an anterior cruciate ligament, description of the surgical technique using autograft from the patellar ligament and eventually to subsequent physiotherapy care. The special part is more extensive and forms the case study of a patient after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. It contains methodology of the casuistry, input kinesiology analysis,...
The Effect of Kinesiotaping on Postural Stabilization in Patients after ACL Reconstruction
Berger, Daniel ; Rašev, Eugen (advisor) ; Véle, František (referee)
Title: The Effect of Kinesiotaping on Postural Stabilization in Patients after ACL Reconstruction Aim: The main aim of the thesis was to evaluate, whether postural stabilization of patients after ACL reconstruction followed by kinesiotaping of the knee joint will be improved or decreased. Also the difference in postural stability of operated and un-operated lower extremity was evaluated. Methods: The thesis included 10 subjects. Each of them was from 4 to 6 weeks after ACL reconstruction, BTB technique. All subjects regularly attended group exercise in CLPA s.r.o. Every subject completed five measurements of postural somatooscilography, before exercise with kinesiotape and without, after exercise completed with kinesiotape, and after five days before and after exercise without kinesiotape. The values were saved by Microswing 6.0 and analyzed by Posturomed Commander. Then the values were evaluated by Microsoft Office Excel and statistic procedures were done by XLSTAT. Results: The measurement confirmed an effect of kinesiotaping on improvement of postural stabilization. Immediately after the application of the tape five out of seven parameters were improved. Participating in the exercise unit revealed an improving trend of postural stabilization, in comparison with the results before exercise. There...
